Parenting
Our parenting education class empowers parents with the necessary tools to nurture their children into becoming healthy, productive adults. Classes focus on age appropriate discipline, developmental expectations and behavior modification techniques for successfully raising a child.
The Annie Malone Children and Family Service Center uses the “Building Your Family” curriculum which focuses instruction in the areas of child development, time, stress, anger and money management, communication, as well as discipline.
The Parenting Education Class is an 8-week course, held on Monday evenings from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. The course is designed to assist parents in enhancing their parental skills in a supportive environment.Take home quizzes are given weekly and discussed the next class session. Because classes are only eight (8) weeks long, in order to graduate you can only miss one (1) class. In addition, students that are more than ten (10) minutes late to class will not be given credit for attending that class session.
